A place to make a difference:

In this part time, maximum term position (19.5 hours per week, through to 30th June 2026 with possibility for extension), you’ll be part of the team delivering Play2Learn playgroups across the Sydney Metropolitan region Reporting to the Team Leader, Metropolitan NSW, you’ll ideally be based in Sydney, with a willingness to travel across the metropolitan region.


You will make a difference by:

  • Building family capacity by using partnership, outcomes based, strengths’ perspective and client-centred approaches
  • Identifying where additional assistance and external services are required, providing appropriate information, support and referrals
  • Collaborating with team members to deliver programs and support services, promoting positive and culturally respectful approaches to parenting, and child and family wellbeing
  • Providing holistic case management, delivering support to vulnerable and disadvantaged clients and supporting relationships for favourable client outcomes
  • Identifying strengths, establishing goals for the program and reviewing clients progress towards these goals

This role requires:

  • Degree/Diploma qualification in a relevant field such as Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or Social Sciences, or significant equivalent experience
  • Experience in working in Early Childhood with low socio-economic and socially or geographically isolated families
  • Proven experience in using trauma informed practice
  • Demonstrated experience in using a strength-based approach when working with families
