The floor supervisor will be responsible for the efficient running of the venues food and beverage operations front of house, in line with the directors strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest, and owner expectations. Reporting to the director, you will supervise and manage the day-to-day operations alongside the head chef.
We are looking for someone to lead and inspire our team into the future, it is preferred that the applicant has a strong hospitality background with a strong focus on customer service, team building, and brand development.
To be successful in this role it is essential for the following attributes:
- Managing the performance of the assigned venue to meet KPI’s (cost of goods and labour cost)
- Coaching and developing your FOH and BOH team members to lead and motivate them to reach success for themselves and the brand.
- Overseeing the recruitment and training of your team including identifying and implementing career development plans
- Maintaining regular communication with your team to achieve results
- Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, procedures and OH&S and food safety procedures
You MUST have:
- Minimum two years full-time equivalent work experience in the field.
- Strong ability to build rapport and engagement with your team to get the best results
- Ability to get things done – You must be able to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball
- Effective delegation skills – You can’t do it all yourself. You will need to lean on your team members.
- Must be very approachable to staff and customers alike
- A positive approach to what you do coupled with a good sense of humour
- A hands-on style available to work weekends and peak trading events
