The Karana Community, a Baptcare Residential Aged Care facility in Kew, Victoria, is actively welcoming new residents and is offering Part-Time opportunities for Food Services Assistants . We are looking for dependable candidates who can work flexible hours including weekdays and weekends.
As a Food Services Assistant , your primary role is to provide our residents, families, and staff with assistance in the delivery of meals across the residence and support for the home in line with service standards and the food Safety Program guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery of meals across dining areas within a residence.
Ability to work with other catering staff and assist with the preparation of basic food stuff if required or directed by supervisor.
Provide support for function planning and delivery.
Ensure all catering facilities food safety program schedule is adhered to.
Assist customers with service delivery in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
Ensuring all staff in catering department maintain safe food handling practices and compliance.
About you

Ability to listen and understand our client's needs and requirements
Availability in work over 7-day roster.
Relevant Industry Training – Food Handling and Hygiene Certificate
Previous experience working in an aged care or industry Catering team
Knowledge of Food Safely and HACCP compliance
