ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re seeking a hands-on and experienced Food Services Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of our Restaurant, Food Van, Warehouse and Café services.
This leadership role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is passionate about ensuring quality food delivery to those doing it tough. You’ll manage and support a team of dedicated coordinators, maintain service quality and compliance, and help maximise the use of rescued food and donations.
You’ll also help cultivate key partnerships with food suppliers and food rescue organisations, ensuring every plate we serve is delivered with care, efficiency and dignity.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead and support the Restaurant, Food Services, Warehouse, and Café Coordinators.
- Oversee daily operations across all food service sites, ensuring high standards of service and food safety.
- Manage food rescue and supplier relationships, minimising waste and supporting sustainability.
- Coordinate schedules, staffing, inventory, and resource allocation across departments.
- Drive compliance with food safety (HACCP), hygiene, and WHS regulations.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient service delivery and stock control.
- Support staff development through training and mentoring opportunities.
- Prepare and provide reports on operations, performance and compliance.
- Champion a safe, inclusive and respectful workplace culture.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Qualifications in hospitality, food services, or a related field.
- Food Safety Supervisor certification.
- Knowledge within implementing and maintaining HACCP
- Proven leadership experience in a multi-site or high-volume food service environment.
- Strong working knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS regulations.
- Excellent communication and team management skills.
- Organisational savvy with the ability to juggle priorities in a busy environment.
- Confidence using software for scheduling, inventory and reporting.
- Empathy, resilience, and a commitment to supporting vulnerable communities.
