Are you passionate about creating memorable event experiences and leading exceptional customer service in a performing arts and functions environment? In this role, you’ll oversee front of house operations, hospitality services, and a multi-skilled team at our Redland Performing Arts Centre to ensure every customer’s experience is seamless, safe, and welcoming. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and rostering a multi-skilled front of house team, managing timesheets, overseeing contractors, and setting high standards by modelling exceptional customer service.
Overseeing café, bar, and catering operations, including stock control, compliance, and smooth day-to-day service.
Coordinating events, performances, and functions, using your knowledge of performing arts venues and experience across box office, front of house, and hospitality.
Ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-presented environment where every guest enjoys a seamless, memorable experience.
Skills and experience:
Thrives in a team-focused, community-minded environment with a love for the arts and live events.
Experience in hospitality or venue operations, including catering, ticketing, and event coordination.
Skilled in leading and supporting a multi-skilled team, managing rosters, and juggling multiple projects.
Strong admin, cash handling, and operational skills with attention to detail.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety, liquor licensing, and risk management in a modern venue.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to resolve issues positively and professionally.

Eligibility - you will have:
a current C Class Driver's Licence.
a current “Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate” (RSA).
a current “Responsible Management of Licensed Venue (RMLV) Certificate - or have the ability to rapidly acquire.
a current Level 2 First Aid Certificate - or have the ability to rapidly acquire.
experience in cash handling and procedures.
be able to work flexible hours in accordance with a 7 day roster, including evenings and weekends.
