ABOUT THE ROLE
At The Beckley, our in-house café, our vision is bold — to be the best workplace café in the world.
Driven by customer obsession, an innovative food and beverage offering and a commitment to excellence in execution, our team delivers more than just meals. From chef-prepared dishes and premium cabinet selections to expertly crafted barista coffee, everything we do is to make our customer’s day.
We serve the Cotton On crew with purpose and pride — because every bite matters, every cup fuels greatness and every moment counts.
We have an opportunity to join The Beckley team as a Front of House Lead on a maternity leave contract until Feb 2026.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
• Lead day-to-day operations of The Beckley café to ensure a high-quality, efficient, and welcoming customer experience.
• Maintain exceptional standards across beverage, cabinet, snack bar, dining, and front-of-house presentation.
• Bring energy, pace, and a never-stop-moving mindset to create a dynamic and inviting atmosphere.
• Foster genuine connections with customers - know their stories, not just their coffee orders.
• Stay customer-obsessed: seek and respond to feedback, anticipate needs, and always seeking Ever Better
• Partner with the Head Chef and Kitchen team to deliver seamless daily service and internal event catering.
• Oversee consumable ordering, roster planning, and wage control.
• Track and report on weekly/monthly budgets; deliver to commercial goals across sales, wages, and consumables.
• Continuously improve café operations, finding smarter, more engaging ways to deliver great service.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Demonstrated experience leading a team in a similar Front of House Lead / café role
• Customer obsessed and high energy – loves to be on the move!
• Able to optimistically manage feedback effectively and problem solve
• Loves coffee and loves making it
• Continually driving an elevated café experience through engagement and innovative ideas
• Stock control management
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance
• Problem solving skills, including the ability to adapt to a dynamic and ever-better environment
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability confidently communicate with all levels of stakeholders
• Proven planning, organisational and time management skills to adhere to timelines
