About the role
Don’t miss out on one of two flexible casual and part time opportunities to join our passionate and inclusive team at our Derby Aboriginal Short Stay Accommodation as a General Hand, and showcase your pride for delivering a high standard of service, cleanliness, hygiene and comfort to all common areas and facilities of the accommodation service, a residence our clients call ‘home’ whilst they reside there.
You will be part of a positive and supportive team environment, who work collaboratively to get the job done, ensuring any potential issues are highlighted and rectified, and strive for continuous improvement in all activities you undertake to ensure the highest quality of service.
About you
It goes without saying that given your focus on service delivery you’ll have an eye for the detail! The successful candidate will be self driven and excellent at managing their time to meet responsibility as a reliable part of the MercyCare team, demonstrating our values in their conduct and work every day (whilst having fun doing it!)
The following will also see you to success:
- Proven experience in a similar role such as in commercial, industrial, or domestic cleaning
- Ability to work with and communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Effective time management skills and the ability to use your initiative
- A flexible mindset and approach to your work
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
