Position Purpose
A Site Construction Worker plays a vital role in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality construction outcomes by performing general labouring duties and supporting trade-qualified professionals and supervisors on-site. This position requires executing various physical tasks, working closely with teams, and strictly adhering to, and taking personal ownership of, industry safety standards to ensure project success.
Qualifications/Experience
•Appropriate licenses to operate machinery/construction tools (training/support will be provided where needed for licenses to be obtained within a reasonable timeframe).
•Prior experience in hands-on construction work, ideally within the building and construction industry.
•Proficiency and competency in handling construction tools, equipment, and materials.
•Understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements and experience applying best practices on-site.
•Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites across greater Sydney.
•Able to use technology and I.T systems proficiently.
•Valid White Card and Working with Children Check.
•Ability to carry out the physical inherent requirements of the role. Medical Assessment required.
Main Responsibilities
•Executing site preparation, construction, and finishing tasks as required by the project plan and as directed by other key stakeholders on-site.
•Operating tools and machinery safely, maintaining equipment and materials effectively.
•Following site safety protocols and regulatory compliance to minimise risks.
•Working collaboratively with site supervisors, tradespeople, and project managers to ensure timely delivery of construction milestones.
•Communicating effectively within teams to resolve challenges and maintain a productive workflow.
The work is unique and Progroup understands that people will not have the required skills to complete this work at the start, but we are confident with our training that the successful candidate will acquire the necessary skills.
