About the position
Council’s Operations Department are seeking a dedicated individual to join the team as a Golf and Turf Maintenance Officer. The position will be responsible for maintaining Frankston's premier sporting reserve, Jubilee Park.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the maintenance of Jubilee Park, and other high profile sporting reserves through application of turf management, horticulture and renovation practices and the utilisation of turf specific plant and equipment.
About you
We are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, but who can also take the initiative to work autonomously as needed from time to time. Additionally, you will bring to the role;
- Experience maintaining turf cricket wickets in sporting reserves
- Experience maintaining parks, recreation areas or golf courses
- Ability to use a variety of horticulture and turf management tools, plant and mechanical equipment
- Strong safe work practices
- A current Victorian Driver Licence
Experience in the application of fertiliser, herbicide, fungicide and insecticide in addition to a Medium Rigid Truck Licence (manual transmission) and Front-End Loader / Tractor Licence will be well regarded.

This position is a Band 2A currently remunerated at $66,896.84 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
