About the role
The Group Reporting Manager is overall responsible for the consolidated IFRS financial reporting to Headquarters in Canada for the entities managed by Redpath Australia, statutory reporting and external audit. This position is an integral part of the Finance team and requires the commitment to take full responsibility of consolidation accounting and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead month end closure for financial reporting packs to Headquarters.
Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards and Global Redpath Accounting Standards Policies (GRASP).
Lead Annual statutory reporting preparation for the Redpath Australia group.
Prepare position papers as and when required.
Manage the audit process by providing all requested information on timely basis.
Establish Governance process over monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations and subledger reconciliations to ensure they are properly prepared and reviewed for all local and overseas Redpath entities managed by Redpath Australia.
Review and post journal entries for Redpath entities managed by Redpath Australia.
Approve suppliers’ payment runs and bank transfers for Redpath entities.
Review weekly Cash flow and Debtors reports, present to CFO & FC, respond to enquiries from the Global Treasury team.
Promote Redpath internal control policies and procedures.
Manage the team of Senior and Junior accountants, develop and mentor staff for continuous process improvement and talent growth.
Assisting Financial Controller, CFO & other Finance Managers with the ad hoc tasks as and when required.
In accordance with Redpath's Management Systems, perform the works as directed, with particular emphasis on Safety, Efficiency and Quality.
Ensure compliance with Redpath's Management Systems and the relevant statutory regulations.
About You
Current CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualifications.
10+ years' experience in similar role with knowledge of consolidated company accounting & reporting in large multinational organizations with overseas entities including exposure to multicurrency balance sheet and Intercompany reconciliation.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Experience with major ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion, Hyperion, Essbase.
High attention to detail to maintain high standard of accuracy and integrity in all reports.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate effectively with overseas Headquarters.
Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Organized, pro-active and able to take initiative.
