About the Role


Over six months, starting in late October 2025, you’ll engage in projects designed to challenge you while delivering work that helps BOQ Group be the bank customers choose. We’ll work around your university schedule to ensure you can balance your studies and internship commitments.

In this program, you’ll gain hands-on, on-the-job experience delivering work within our Group Risk division, contributing to initiatives that build social capital through banking. You’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with top professionals and fellow interns across the Group, gaining exposure to real-world challenges and making a genuine impact.

Internship Streams

The intern streams we will likely offer as part of this program include:

Group Risk Management
This stream is ideal for all-rounders and strong communicators interested in project and business management experience.
Key activities include:

  • Supporting operational change and strategic initiatives
  • Contributing to the Credit Operating Model project
  • Assisting with Maps Collection and Creation
  • Driving activities with a strong achievement focus and growth mindset

Market Risk – Credit Models & Insights
Suitable for university students studying STEM, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or IT.
Key activities include:

  • Risk analytics and dashboard development using tools such as R, Python, SAS, PowerBI, and Tableau
  • Quantitative modelling and credit risk analysis
  • Model monitoring, provisioning, and stress testing reporting
  • Data discovery and quality review
  • Process automation and AI engineering
