The Opportunity
Due to the recent ramp up at the Onslow Iron Operation we have multiple opportunities for experienced and motivated Trade Assistants to join the CSI Haulage team on a fulltime permanent basis. Working a 7D/7N/7R Roster you will be reporting directly to the Haulage Supervisor, key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Supporting our MC Drivers by refuelling and replacing other fluids of our haulage fleet
- Assisting with general truck and other vehicle maintenance
- Transporting staff to and from site and other locations by bus
- Assisting with haul truck breakdowns e.g. running out urgent parts to the HD Fitter
- Moving trucks and trailers around the yards
- Washing trucks and other machinery (mostly via automatic washers)
- General duties such as tidying up facilities etc.
What is required
- HR Licence
- Experience within a similar role would be great – yard work in a transport or similar environment, TA work etc.
- Positive attitude
- Previous experience working in a busy site environment
- Strong communication skills
About Onslow Iron
Our Onslow Iron project is set to redefine mining in Western Australia through world-first autonomous road trains, industry leading dust free transport and innovative tran-shipping.
Taking shape 150 kilometres east of Onslow, the project will ship around 35 million tonnes of iron ore per year and is expected to have a mine life of more than 30 years.
The project will encompass the Ken’s Bore mine (approximately 150km from Onslow), Onslow Port infrastructure and Onslow Truck Maintenance Facility.
