About The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Director and joining a small team of Head of Sales and Commercial Management peers, this role is highly supported via dedicated Sales Operations, Commercial Support and Sales Enablement divisions.
This senior leadership role is responsible for the sustainable growth of our Strategic Markets Region, via leadership of a team of Sales Managers and their teams who successfully take our offer of more than 200 product categories to Enterprise and Government organisations across Australia.
Maintaining our long-term growth rate 10%+, a prestige portfolio of top tier organisations will look to you and your team for more than 3 million parcels of products each year to keep their workplace healthy, safe and productive via contractually managed long-term agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the sales strategy for strategic markets aligned with overall business goals.
- Identify, prioritise, and penetrate high-value markets, regions, and segments to deliver outcomes.
- Build, manage, inspire and grow an existing high-performing strategic sales team.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, influencers and C-level executives.
- Identify and secure enterprise-level deals and partnerships.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities through market intelligence, networking, and referrals.
- Own and exceed annual sales targets and KPIs for strategic markets.
- Monitor performance metrics and ensure timely reporting to executive leadership.
- Forecast revenue accurately and manage budgeting for strategic regions.
- Work closely with and influence other teams to align efforts for company success.
- Provide market feedback to influence product development and customer experience.
- Collaborate with Commercial Teams for deal structuring and contract negotiation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market shifts.
- Position the company as a leader in strategic markets through thought leadership and presence in industry forums.
About You
- 10+ years of experience in B2B/B2C sales leadership roles, with at least 3+ years in strategic or enterprise markets.
- Proven success in building and scaling sales teams and closing large, complex deals. A drive to achieve through others.
- Strong knowledge of sales methodologies and ability to embrace our advance proprietary CR3ATE process.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills delivering inspiration and trust.
- Demonstrated strong commercial and financial acumen supported by strong BI, and Microsoft Suite experience incorporating AI efficiency tools.
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field is desirable.
- Strategic thinker with a bias for action and execution.
- High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Data-driven and proficient in using CRM and sales analytics tools (HubSpot)
