Housekeeping Teamleader (Full Time) - InterContinental Perth

• Supervising daily operations, including planning and assigning work to others.
• Carrying out “room checks” inspections and following-up concerns directly with the relevant team member regarding areas of improvement.
• Assisting with the onboarding and training of new housekeeping colleagues.
• Communicating to the Housekeeping Manager if we don't have the appropriate tools and equipment to carry out jobs and duties.
• Promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Assisting with projects such as deep cleaning and/ or assist housekeeping operations during high volume periods.
• Performing any housekeeping duty as necessary, including making beds, as well as vacuuming and cleaning guest suites to ensure we “work better together” and guest satisfaction.

What we need from you

• Minimum 12 months experience in a hotel or 12 months experience in a commercial cleaning environment
• Experience leading or supervising others is highly regarded
• Confident verbal communication skills in English and an excellent attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workflow and workload
• It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important.
• Strength – with occasional lifting of items up to 23 kilograms and or push/pulling heavy objects.
• You will need to bend and kneel to complete regular tasks.
• Flexibility to work allocated shifts between 7am and 6pm across a 7 day rotating roster – including during the weekends and public holidays
