Independent Chair Audit & Risk Committee
Hobsons Bay City Council is undergoing a period of significant transformation. Key governance initiatives and a cultural change program are central to this renewal, requiring a strong commitment to corporate governance.
As part of this agenda, Council is seeking new Independent Members to join its Audit and Risk Committee. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive and constructive contribution to the Council’s transformation journey.
The Independent Chair will be expected to demonstrate strong capability across the full spectrum of risks faced by local government.
To be considered for this important role, applicants are invited to submit their resume along with a one-page statement addressing the following key selection criteria:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in chairing committees
- Substantial experience in leading internal audit and risk in complex service delivery or regulatory environments
- Proven experience serving on similar Audit Committees or Boards
- Applied understanding of contemporary governance practices
- Insight into transformation and cultural change within complex organisations
