Bank Australia is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Delivery Lead to drive the delivery of IT infrastructure projects, particularly those related to mergers and acquisitions, with a strong emphasis on Active Directory (AD) migration and system consolidation. This role also plays a critical part in the governance and delivery of key BAU initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance standards.
As a Subject Matter Expert, you’ll lead cross-functional teams and coordinate stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes. You’ll apply your technical expertise and project management skills to ensure tasks are completed on time, within scope and budget, while maintaining a strong focus on security, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.

What you will be doing
- Lead infrastructure delivery across merger and acquisition and BAU initiatives, with a focus on AD migration and system consolidation.
- Apply SFIA-aligned capabilities including:
- Project Management (PRMG Level 3) – Deliver defined project tasks and maintain documentation.
- Leadership (LEAD Level 3) – Guide a small team and foster collaboration.
- Stakeholder Coordination (RLMT Level 3) – Engage stakeholders and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Resource Allocation (RESC Level 3) – Manage resources to meet project milestones.
- Risk Management (BURM Level 3) – Identify and mitigate risks, escalating where necessary.
- Quality Assurance (QUAS Level 3) – Ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
- Security Compliance (SCTY Level 3) – Apply CPS 234 and CPS 230 frameworks to infrastructure projects.
- Continuous Improvement (CIPM Level 3) – Contribute to lessons learned and process enhancements.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and compliance, contributing to lessons learned and process refinement
- Support governance of BAU initiatives, ensuring consistent delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field; certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional, PMP, or ITIL are highly regarded.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure delivery, especially in AD migration and system consolidation.
- Deep technical knowledge of Active Directory, including domain upgrades, cloud integration, and migration tools (e.g. PowerShell, Quest On Demand, Microsoft Entra Connect).
- Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks (CPS 234, CPS 230).
- Skilled in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing priorities.
