About the role
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic individual to join our team as an Insights Manager. You will lead market research projects and drive data-centred decision-making to support the company's growth and success. Reporting to the Insights & Analytics Director, you will be a research and consumer expert in this senior position. Working in a small team of 3, you will be an integral part for the business, building actionable insights and recommendations to drive brand growth.
Your focus will be on Australia and New Zealand for the Bakery and Pet categories helping to deliver Innovation Pipelines, brand development and category growth.
Key responsibilities include:
As the Insights Manager, you will thrive on uncovering consumer insights and data to drive innovation and long-term brand growth. You will focus on improving our strength in business information, consumer understanding (attitudes, behaviour, shopper, and digital), and advanced analytics.
Managing qualitative and quantitative research projects, with agencies from objectives and brief, through method and design, stimulus, and fieldwork to debrief and implications
Communication of findings that reveal opportunities and risks to the business
Understanding of advanced analytics to model for drivers and levers, that inform better decision-making and resource allocation
Inspiring teams to create data-driven and personalised brand experiences that are relevant to our consumers
About You
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced insights and analytics professional with a passion for building brands and driving growth, ideally with previous FMCG experience – and ideally with a strong entrepreneurial get-it-done attitude that can lead a fast-paced rapidly growing region. More than just a data role, you must have a strategic mindset and a demonstrated ability to develop and communicate effective strategies.
You are a highly analytical and strategic individual with a sound background in market research, understanding of brand health, brand tracking, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights. You are a people person, with a natural flair to connect with and influence stakeholders to build meaningful insights. Your analytical mindset and ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment will help you thrive in this role.
You will also have:
4-7 years' experience in consumer insights and analytics
Experience working with within the FMCG/Food manufacturer is a must
Advanced analytical capabilities
Proven success building and presenting compelling insight recommendations
Excellent communication skills
Confidence to lead and role model an insights culture
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and concise messages
