We are seeking a creative and experienced Interior Decorator to join our family-owned window furnishing business. As an Interior Decorator, you will be responsible for assisting our clients in selecting and coordinating window treatments, such as curtains, blinds, shades, and shutters, to enhance the aesthetics and functionality of their spaces. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints, and provide expert advice and recommendations to help them achieve their desired look and feel for their windows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer's home and businesses from showroom,
- Consult with clients to assess their needs, preferences, and budget for window treatments.
- Provide expert advice on window treatment options, including curtains, blinds, shades, and shutters, based on clients' requirements.
- Assist clients in selecting appropriate fabrics, colors, patterns, and styles for their window treatments.
- Take accurate measurements of windows to ensure proper fitting of selected treatments.
- Create design proposals and mood boards to visually represent recommended window treatment options.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to order window treatments and ensure timely delivery and installation.
- Oversee the installation of window treatments and ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Stay current on industry trends, products, and technologies related to window furnishings.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sample books, fabric swatches, and product catalogs.
- Collaborate with other team members, such as sales associates and installers, to provide a seamless customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Interior Decorator or similar role, preferably in the window furnishing industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of different types of window treatments, fabrics, and hardware.
- Familiarity with measuring and installation techniques for window treatments.
- Proficient in using technology based tools and open to adopting modern software
- Certification or degree in Interior Design or a related field is a plus.
- Valid driving license
