About the Role Reporting to the Team Leader Quantity Surveying, you will be responsible for excellence in the execution of our quantity surveying services. The primary objective of the Quantity Surveyor is to provide outstanding service to clients while ensuring the successful development and management of project life cycle costs and optimising project budgets. Key Outputs Assisting our project management team in the areas of cost planning, procurement, post contract and bank funding,contract& variation management. Proposal preparation, job delivery, work planning and financial management tasks. Show initiative and provide practical advice to identify solutions to job-specific challenges. A team player keen to advance his/her skills and truly be an asset to Summit constructions brand. Able to undertake secondment positions in the Brisband & gold coast area when required.
Work Experience Experience working in any of the following sectors would be a clear advantage: infrastructure, commercial, residential construction Industry, . Experience across both cost consultancy and contractor roles is preferred. Demonstrated ability to produce results whilst working alongside various stakeholders.
Education request: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline (Construction Management ,building practice, Quantity Survey or similar).
Key Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express complex ideas in a simply understood manner.
Ability to optimise all aspects of project life cycle costs and value management. Ability to work under pressure and maintain a clear assessment of requirements and priorities.
Strong attention to detail, able to focus on critical elements and, at the same time, remain mindful of the big picture. A highly motivated and autonomous individual who values being part of a talented team with diverse skills and experience.
Ability to use own initiative to analyse information and make logical decisions. Strong investigative skills to identify and minimise potential project risks before they become material to a project. Ability to build strong relationships with clients& contractor through clear communication and great service.
