About your Role:
- Coordinate the purchasing and storage of ingredients as instructed.
- Ensure all ingredients are prepared and ready ahead of class time to ensure smooth lessons.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising work surfaces
- Purchase and organise ingredients and resources for practical classes
- Setting up and packing down kitchen workspaces and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen areas, including washing dishes and sanitising work surfaces and equipment.
- Supporting students and teachers during practical lessons
- Monitoring hygiene and safety practices in line with WHS guidelines and Food Safe practices.
- Purchasing equipment and supplies for the TAS department
- Performing basic administration and clerical tasks.
- Drivers licence required
- Working as part of a collaborative and professional team that values initiative, attention to detail, and a service-oriented attitude.
About You:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to a Christian fellowship, as well as the following skills and experience:
- Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in an educational or school setting.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- An interest in food preparation and supporting student learning.
- Strong communication skills, especially when interacting with students and teachers.
- A flexible and proactive approach to tasks.
