About the role
The Leisure and Lifestyle Team Leader supports a team of 5 in delivery of the activity program. People living in the Eastern Health residential aged care homes: Monda Lodge in Healesville and Murrenda Aged Care Home in Wantirna are the recipients of the program.
The role holder leads the program, operational and management requirements whilst being a key member of the senior RAC Services management team. The program is well established and would benefit from an experienced person with Leisure & Lifestyle qualifications to support the team.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Experienced Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator or Assistant
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- Excellent coordination, delegation and prioritisation skills
- Experienced in working with people who are diagnosed with dementia, cognitive decline and / or mental health conditions.
- Holds a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification
- Has 5 years’ experience in an aged care or mental health environment
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
