Job Description
As a Librarian (Scholarly Resource Services) you will be part of a high performing team focused on providing the Griffith community with access to the resources they need to engage in outstanding scholarship and research.
Under the general direction of the Manager, Scholarly Resource Services, this position coordinates services and functions which ensure high quality service delivery and efficient and effective delivery of operational, strategic and project work within the team. The position may be involved in the delivery of a number of supports and can work across a variety of tasks, including:
- Managing acquisition, cataloguing, and access of scholarly resources.
- Contributing to the effective delivery of Reading List and Interlibrary services.
- Analysing data from various systems to create evidence-based reports.
- Developing and implementing procedures for scholarly resource services.
- Ensuring compliance with licensing requirements and copyright laws.
About you
The successful candidate will have previous experience in delivering library services or supporting information technology in a higher education context.
You will also be:
- A good communicator with demonstrated strong client support and problem solving skills.
- Flexible, well-organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Focused on continuous improvement within a rapidly changing environment.
- Tertiary qualified in library or information science or other relevant discipline, and eligibility for Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, experience, and training.
What we can offer
This is a continuing, full time position primarily based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 6 range $91,843 - $97,964 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $107,456 - $114,618 per annum.
