The Machine Operator at Superkote Glass plays a key role in the safe and efficient operation of machinery used in the glass manufacturing process. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work as part of a team to ensure high-quality products are produced while meeting production targets. The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery to produce glass products that meet Superkote Glass's standards for quality and safety.
Experience
- Previous experience in machine operation, preferably in the manufacturing or glass industry
- Familiarity with glass manufacturing processes such as cutting, processing or toughening is highly desirable
- Experience in machine troubleshooting, routine maintenance and operating complex machinery
Skills
- Strong ability to understand and troubleshoot machinery
- Ability to carefully monitor the quality of products and machinery settings to ensure they meet standards
- Able to identify and resolve machine issues quickly to minimise production delays
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet production goals and deadlines
- Strong understanding of and commitment to safety procedures and protocols
- Ability to work collaboratively with other operators and production team members to ensure smooth workflow and achieve production goals
