Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Coordinator to deliver responsive and compliant facilities maintenance across a high-profile energy infrastructure contract. Based full-time on site in Chinchilla, you will report directly to the Operations Manager and play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering both preventative and reactive maintenance services.
The successful candidate will enjoy autonomy on site, build strong subcontractor relationships, and thrive in a collaborative team that values reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver preventative and reactive maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and BGIS systems
- Liaise with subcontractors, the client, and the BGIS team to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Assist in permit-to-work creation, daily reports, and helpdesk response
- Conduct asset inspections and minor maintenance works as needed
Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Experience in a facilities or property maintenance environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with OH&S and quality systems
- Able to multitask, prioritise and meet KPIs under pressure
- Current driver’s licence
Desirable:
- Trade background (electrical or mechanical preferred)
- General handyman experience in carpentry, tiling, or plumbing
- Formal training in WHS, QA, or Environmental systems
