Maintenance Fitter – Shepparton Pipes
Civilmart is an Australian owned national manufacturer of civil concrete products supplying to sectors such as residential development, local government, water authorities, civil infrastructure, irrigation, and the plumbing and drainage market. We are one of the largest producers of precast concrete in Australia, with operations across QLD, NSW, VIC, and SA and 24 sites nationwide.
We’re currently seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Civilmart Shepparton Pipes. You’ll play a key role in in overseeing the maintenance of our equipment, ensuring our machines are operating at standard to support the smooth day-to-day operation of our production.
What you’ll be doing:
Operate, set up and adjust all production machinery as required at site
Use of power tools, plant, and equipment
Preform engineering maintenance to plant as required
Collaborating with other members of management and manufacturing to ensure efficient maintenance, preventative work and breakdowns are completed in a timely manner to minimise impact to production schedules
Lubrication of production equipment as required to ensure safe use and minimise breakdowns of plant and equipment
Validating processes on plant and equipment to standards as required
Identifying critical control points and preventive measures
Study drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings
Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment
Setting up prescribed cutting and shaping tools and dies in machines and setting controls for machines
Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal
Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.
Other duties as required in accordance with skills and abilities and classification level.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working in a maintenance role in a similar or likeminded organisation is mandatory or equivalent relevant qualifications.
- A Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification plus 3 year’s experience in a like role.
