About the Role:
We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to coordinate and oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities across our facility operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting asset performance through effective maintenance strategies and resource planning.
As a key link between operations and maintenance teams, you will utilise your technical knowledge and planning skills to develop, implement, and optimise maintenance schedules, monitor work progress, and ensure compliance with safety and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules for plant equipment and infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Coordinate and prioritise work orders based on criticality, risk, resource availability, and operational impact
- Liaise with engineering, operations, and procurement teams to plan maintenance activities, shutdowns, and major overhauls
- Maintain and update the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to reflect accurate asset data, job history, and inventory use
- Identify and procure required spare parts and materials in advance of scheduled maintenance
- Monitor the effectiveness of maintenance strategies and adjust planning cycles accordingly
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as equipment availability, mean time between failures (MTBF), and mean time to repair (MTTR)
- Prepare detailed job plans including task breakdowns, safety protocols, timelines, labour requirements, and equipment manuals
- Ensure all planned maintenance adheres to workplace health and safety and regulatory compliance standards
- Provide technical input and support continuous improvement initiatives in reliability, cost-efficiency, and lifecycle management
Requirements:
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Associate Degree in Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a maintenance planning or technical coordination role (relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications)
- Proficiency with CMMS tools such as SAP PM, Maximo, or Pronto
- Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical equipment, maintenance workflows, and reliability principles
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with a solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Registration or licensing may be required depending on jurisdiction

Pay: $70,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
