The Role
We’re seeking a Maintenance Supervisor – Dayshift to join our Engineering Services team at Crown Melbourne. Reporting to the Head of Maintenance, this role is responsible for overseeing all dayshift maintenance operations across the Crown Melbourne complex, including repairs, routine upkeep, inventory management, and leading the PSO team.
The successful candidate will lead and support six core maintenance disciplines—Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Upholstery, Gaming, and Electronics—while working closely with other managers and contractors to ensure all maintenance activities are efficiently coordinated and consistently uphold Crown’s high standards.
The Role
- Oversee all dayshift maintenance operations, including reactive and preventive works, inventory management, and scheduling
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure maintenance activities are well-coordinated and meet Crown’s standards
- Lead and supervise an efficient team by managing work orders, rosters and resource allocation to maintain service quality
- Foster a productive and capable team through coaching, performance management, and ongoing training
- Manage maintenance budgets and contribute to capital project planning, cost control, and reporting
- Champion health and safety standards, ensuring compliance and proactive risk management across all maintenance activities
About you
- Extensive senior-level experience leading maintenance teams within large-scale, complex commercial environments
- Comprehensive background in facilities and operational management, with relevant trade licences or registrations considered an asset
- Advanced people leadership and team-building skills
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage (HV) systems is highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and a proactive leadership style
