THE ROLE
The Social Investment Implementation team within the Social Investment Analytics Unit of DFFH partners closely with program areas to understand their business and embed a social investment approach. They translate at the interface of analytics and policy so that analyses are fit-for-purpose and provide long-term value. The team focus on analytical scoping, high quality communications, project and stakeholder management, governance and strategic advice. They work closely with the other teams in the unit to deliver analysis that informs earlier interventions such as cohort profiles, scenario analyses, outcome monitoring and evaluation, and cost benefit analyses; and work to support users of the unit's analytical tools across Victorian government to help ensure social investment assets used well and are built to reflect our clients' ongoing needs.
The manager will have their own project lead responsibilities and provide support and coaching to team members in their development. You will either already be or will need to quickly become an expert in the application of social investment approaches and will play a key role in partnering with and influencing stakeholders to drive its successful implementation.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Lead the management and ensure the delivery of complex analytical projects.
- Work closely with others to ensure project responses are coordinated, delivered within scope, on time and within budget and have considered the short and long-term objectives of the unit.
- Provide expertise, leadership, and guidance to others, including executives, about the feasibility of using various approaches for the purposes of informing social investments.
