The Opportunity
The Marketing and Content Officer for SSI’s Social Enterprises is responsible for executing marketing activities and creating content that drives audience engagement and sales growth for the organisation's social enterprise initiatives. Working closely with the Business Development Lead, this role focuses on generating demand, promoting products or services, and communicating the social impact of the enterprise to key target audiences.
This role emphasises hands-on content creation and campaign execution, with a strong focus on revenue generation and social impact storytelling
We’re looking for a creative and results-driven Marketing and Content Officer to bring our Social Enterprises to life through engaging campaigns and impactful storytelling. In this hands-on role, you’ll collaborate with the Business Development Lead to execute marketing strategies, create compelling content, and drive both audience engagement and revenue growth. Requirements for Success
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or content creation role.
- Experience working in or with social enterprises, not-for-profits, or purpose-driven brands is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in campaign planning and execution, especially in sales or revenue-generating contexts.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Canva/Adobe).
- Knowledge of SEO, social media strategy, and digital advertising.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative mindset with a data-informed approach to marketing.
- Strong collaboration skills and an ability to work cross-functionally.
- Commitment to the values and mission of SSI
- Experience in e-commerce marketing.
- Graphic design or video editing skills.
- Familiarity with CRM and CMS platforms (e.g., HubSpot, WordPress, Shopify).
