The Role
Coregas has an opportunity for 2x Mechanical Engineering Technicians to join our team. The role will be based at our Jandakot, Western Australia site. The duties will include:
- Coordination of all allocated scheduled maintenance for the Jandakot facility, including conducting routine condition monitoring and completion of planned maintenance.
- Diagnosing equipment faults and performing operational maintenance of machines and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.
- Maintain all records including maintenance logs and reporting of faults, incidents and urgent repairs to record analyse data.
- Operate as the Systems Administrator for Coregas’ maintenance management system for the Jandakot facility. Ensure all plant and equipment have updated maintenance policies, SOPs, and relevant documentation for all maintenance history data.
- Conduct risk assessments for all maintenance activities and receive sign-off prior to carrying out any activities including assembling or installation of new and modified equipment.
- Coordinate and supervise the inspection and maintenance of machines being carried out by external contractors.
- Maintain shutdown management procedures and guidelines for conducting scheduled maintenance.
- Provide technical support and project management support as required across various projects within the Jandakot site, this includes estimating material costs, quantities and machine requirements per project objectives.
- Complete inspections per SOPs on the maintenance of plant, tools and equipment to ensure all are maintained in a safe and usable condition per guidelines. Report and disable the use of any unsafe equipment.
- Maintain high standards of practice and awareness in relation to Quality Assurance and safety management.
- Uphold compliance management for Safe Work Systems for all maintenance activities on the site.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge by accurately sorting and inspecting cylinders for faults prior to processing for filling.
- Operate the cylinder test station and complete technical testing.
- Support with the transportation of product as required.
- Operate manual handling equipment in accordance with SOP.
- Conduct general housekeeping to ensure worksite safety is adhered to.
Candidates are required to hold relevant trade or degree qualifications and at least 3+ years of experience performing similar duties within the gas or similar industry.
The remuneration will be $38.96 per hour | $77,000 per annum + superannuation.
