The Role: For the Accent Brands merchants everything begins and ends with the consumer. The Accent brands Merchandising team understands consumer needs and market capacity to create the right product mix for the Australia & New Zealand marketplace. From stores to online, this team helps bring the seasonal category visions to life. The Merchandising team has the unique ability to see beyond trends to identify what’s next to deliver the right product to the right places at the right time and price. The Accent Brands team is looking for our next Merchandise Specialist to drive the next period of growth for leading global brands including Dickies and Lacoste. As the Merchandise Specialist you will excel in understanding local and global market consumer trends to build profitable and consumer right assortments for the ANZ market. Working in partnership with sales, marketing and the direct-to-consumer teams you will oversee and manage market capacity, range architecture blending both art and science. Your ability to influence both internal stakeholders in the local and global team coupled with strong relationship building skills will be critical to success in this role.
Your key responsibilities include but not limited to: • Partner with Global and Regional brand principle to drive key brand strategies in the market. • Execute continuous review of the marketplace in conjunction with sales, commercial and direct to consumer functions. • Build relevant and consumer centric assortments for the marketplace via channel and segmentation models. • Develop robust pricing architecture to accelerate brand positioning whilst maximising commercial outcomes. • Parter with key wholesale customers on special projects, seasonal requirements and further product developments. • Play a key role in the GTM touchpoints with both sales and direct to consumer. • In conjunction with commercial teams drive the assortment planning process including market capacities, net sales & margin requirements.
What we are looking for: • Demonstrated at least 2+ years in merchandising capacity in footwear, apparel or accessories lead consumer product industry. • Astute understanding of the Fashion, Sport, Surf and Skate marketplaces. • Must be creative, strategic, analytical, innovative and a problem-solver. • Skilled in excel, PowerPoint, outlook, and word. Design skills are a plus but not essential. • Ability to work autonomously but take direction from multiple stakeholders. • Confident presenting in front of small to large internal teams. • Be available for domestic and international travel as required.
