THE ROLE
- Monitor day-to-day performance of all aspects of the Gold processing plant.
- Conduct metallurgical accounting and reconciliation for gold production.
- Ensure production and cost targets achieved and adjust key operating parameters.
- Provide technical support to operations staff.
- Train and mentor graduate metallurgist and operations staff.
- Monitor and optimise performance of the MSA and provide feedback to stakeholders.
- Oversea on-site laboratory operations
- Carry out designated metallurgical test work and metallurgical duties in a professional manner.
- Assist in the preparation and ongoing management of department budgets and forecasts.
- Establish and execute short term and long term projects aimed at improving process plant efficiency.
- Monitoring the availability and usage of critical process reagents and consumables
WHAT DO I NEED
- Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering degree.
- Minimum 3 years in a technical role, which included monitoring and controlling plant metallurgical performance, and responsibility for daily metallurgical accounting.
- Sound working knowledge of processing plant equipment and processes - crushing, milling, gravity, leaching, tailings and reagent circuits.
- Current “C” Class Manual Western Australian driver’s licence.
- Experience in mineral processing and mining industry.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Advanced Microsoft Suite
- Experience with online analysis systems (desirable).
- Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment.
- Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude.
