Mitchelton Position Vacant. (This can be a shared position) We are looking for a caring, reliable, and flexible qualified Educator to help care for two young children - a 3-year-old and a 17-month-old - on a rotating shift basis. Typical shift times include: Early: 6:00am - 8:00pm Late: 6:00am - 4:00pm Night: 6:00pm - 8:00am Afternoon: 1:30pm - 11:30pm The mum is usually rostered about 3-4 nights per month, so this would require an overnight stay. There is a good mixture of early and lates. Hours average 40 per week. About the Role: We are seeking a warm and responsible Educator who can provide loving care and structure. Duties include: Engaging the children with age-appropriate play, activities, and outings (as appropriate) Preparing meals/snacks Nappy changes and supporting toilet training (if applicable) Light household duties related to the children (tidying toys, cleaning up after meals, etc.) Supporting sleep and bedtime routines Start Date: ASAP Pay: $38 to $40 per hour The successful applicant will have the following prerequisites: Certificate III in Children's Services (min 2 years experience) Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate - Childcare First Aid Training HLTAID0011 and HLTAID009 Blue card and Police Clearance Liability insurance (once successfully placed) Medical Clearance Child Protection (refresher required every 2 years) ABN (this role is for a self employed/contractor) Photo ID PRODA RA (the office will assist you with this) Child Safety Commitment We are a child safe service.
