The Opportunity
Ready to apply your horticultural skills in East Gippsland? As a Mower Operator/Labourer, you’ll maintain and enhance parks, playgrounds, reserves, and roadside vegetation. Your role includes gardening work such as pruning, weeding, mulching, as well as inspections of plants and green spaces to ensure their health and appearance. You will also carry out minor servicing of equipment and keep accurate records of maintenance activities to support effective open space management.
This is a permanent full-time position based from our Kalimna West depot, with travel required in East Gippsland.
What we’re looking for:
- A horticulture qualification or significant horticultural experience will be looked upon favourably.
- Experience in parks maintenance, mowing and operating tools and machinery, including tractors and mowers.
- A reliable team player with strong time management skills and a focus on safety.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with the public and team members.
Required Qualifications:
- Industry White Card.
- Chainsaw – Trim and cross-cut felled trees certificate.

Victorian Drivers’ License
Desirable Qualifications:
- Horticulture qualification or experience desirable.
- Qualifications in chemical application desirable.
If successful, you will need to undertake a police check and pre-employment medical check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
