The Role
At Fisher & Paykel, we believe that delivering a great product is only part of the story, the way it arrives in our customers’ homes matters just as much. That’s where our Delivery & Installation (D&I) team comes in.
We’re looking for a strong, people-focused leader based in Sydney to guide this team and help us continue delivering exceptional service across Australia. This role includes quarterly travel across states to stay connected with our national operations.
What the Role’s About
This is a leadership role with real impact. You’ll be responsible for overseeing our national D&I operations, from managing in-home deliveries and installations to supporting a hybrid service model that includes both in-house and external providers.
You’ll lead a team of over 30 individuals, including state-based D&I leads and technicians who are often out on the road. These team members represent our brand in customers’ homes, often in high-value environments, and need a leader who understands their unique challenges and can bring them together as one strong, connected team.
The role also involves working closely with warehouse leads, internal stakeholders, and our Delivery Management Team to ensure everything runs smoothly, balancing service quality, cost control, and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and supporting state-based D&I teams across Australia
- Managing delivery and installation operations, including fleet and subcontractor performance
- Driving service improvements and cost optimisation across all channels
- Overseeing reverse logistics and process documentation
- Collaborating across teams to improve safety, service, and operational outcomes
- Representing the business in customer recovery situations with empathy and professionalism
- Travelling nationally at least once per quarter to stay connected with teams and operations
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who’s not just experienced in logistics, but also a natural leader and collaborator. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, be confident managing budgets and performance metrics, and know how to bring people together to solve problems.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Proven leadership experience in logistics or delivery operations
- Strong business acumen and comfort managing cost-per-job metrics
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in final mile delivery or installation services
- Advanced Excel and ERP system knowledge (e.g. JD Edwards/Oracle)
- A collaborative mindset and ability to influence across functions
- A strong commitment to health and safety
