About us

For over 25 years, Wesley Out of School Hours Care has been creating spaces where children feel at home, families feel supported, and Educators feel valued. We provide high-quality before and after school care and vacation care for primary school-aged children, with 12 services across Sydney and the Central Coast. Our programs are shaped by the My Time, Our Place framework and guided by the voices of children, families, and schools. We believe every child deserves a safe, welcoming environment that encourages learning, connection, and belonging.

Our Porters Creek service is licenced for 97 children and is in a dedicated space within the school

Our Wyong service is licenced for 60 children and is also in a dedicated space within the school.

About the role

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Educator who thrives on creating memorable experiences for children. You will enjoy being outdoors, leading active play, and inspiring children through creative and hands-on activities. Success in this role comes from building strong relationships, collaborating with colleagues, and bringing a positive, can-do attitude to each day. You will share our commitment to child safety, inclusion, and helping children feel confident, capable, and proud of who they are.

Join our passionate OOSH team as a casual Educator, contributing to before school care, after school care, and vacation care programs. We are recruiting across all Wesley Mission OOSH locations, and successful applicants may be considered for roles at other services, with the flexibility to support different locations when needed.

Essential criteria

demonstrated ability to be encouraging and passionate about providing children with engaging activities
good organisational and time management skills
current Employee Working with Children check or willingness to obtain
ability to work as part of a team
good communication and relational skills with children, staff and families

Desirable criteria

Certificate III/IV in Children’s Services or working towards
current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate or willingness to obtain
Child Protection Certificate
Current driver’s Licence
experience in working with school age children
demonstrated ability to be creative
a working knowledge of the National Quality Framework and ‘My Time, Our Place’
intermediate Computer skills

Remuneration

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Children’s Services Award with generous salary packaging available. Other benefits include discounted private health cover, study assistance and Employee Assistance Program.
