About the Role
The Op Shop Store Manager is responsible for leading a team of volunteers and overseeing the daily operation of the store to ensure it’s profitability, sustainability and positive presence within the local community.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage, lead and develop a team of volunteers to the highest levels of performance and engagement.
- Provide leadership and support in the management of the Op Shop’s operations including overseeing pricing, maximising profitability and achieving sales targets.
- Provide a high level of service to customers to resolve customer queries and complaints
- Positively represent RSPCA Victoria in the local community.
- Lead effective and efficient stock management, visual merchandising and high-level retail operations
- Provide support to the Op Shop Network Coordinator in the improvement of internal processes and procedures
- Manage the recruitment and induction of volunteers to ensure that the store has the appropriate resources in place to achieve their goals.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Assist with ensuring a safe working environment whereby volunteers perform their duties safely and adhere to all WH&S policies and procedures.
What we are looking for from you
- Previous experience in retail management and leadership, ideally within an op-shop environment
- Ability to some weekends
- Previous experience working with and managing volunteers.
- Previous experience in a similar role that requires strong administration, customer service and organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment
- Ability to work as part of collaborative team
- High level literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills

Recruitment Requirements
