At Delta, our purpose is to produce energy safely, reliably, and responsibly. We’re committed to supporting Australia’s energy needs today while transitioning to a more sustainable tomorrow. As we grow, we’re looking for passionate people who share our values to join us.

Are you an experienced planner or scheduler ready to take on a pivotal role in delivering major power station outages? As an Outage Planner Scheduler at Vales Point Power Station, you’ll be at the heart of one of our most critical operations - developing and managing the master outage schedule that keeps complex, multi-discipline works running smoothly and safely.

You’ll work across all phases of the outage lifecycle, collaborating with engineers, contractors, and project teams to bring together maintenance, capital works, and inspection activities into one coordinated plan. Your expertise will directly influence the success of high-profile projects that keep the lights on for communities across NSW.

What You’ll Do

Pre-Outage Planning

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and contractors to consolidate maintenance and capital works schedules into a single master outage program
  • Read and interpret technical job modules to determine required resources, sequencing, and durations for work packages
  • Apply your understanding of boiler, turbine, electrical and chemical work scopes to develop logical, efficient schedules
  • Provide expert advice on resource levelling to ensure optimal allocation within set outage periods
  • Build and maintain the overall outage schedule in MS Project 2016, incorporating key activities, milestones, and interdependencies
  • Identify risks, conflicts, and constraints, and work with teams to develop mitigation strategies
  • Monitor pre-outage works and report progress to the Outage Coordinator

Outage Execution

  • Gather and verify daily progress data from project leaders, supervisors, and contractors
  • Conduct field checks to confirm progress and update both individual project schedules and the master schedule
  • Monitor schedule performance, highlight deviations, and recommend corrective actions to maintain timelines
  • Provide regular updates on critical path activities, resource allocations, and emerging risks
  • Prepare and present schedule performance reports, including S-curves and time/cost forecasts

Post-Outage Review

  • Contribute to the outage close-out report, comparing actual outcomes with the baseline plan
  • Capture lessons learned and recommend improvements for future outages

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in planning and scheduling large, multi-discipline industrial projects
  • Practical knowledge of outage works across boilers, turbines, and electrical systems in a power station environment
  • Advanced MS Project (2016) and Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision

We Offer:

  • Earn a competitive salary plus an impressive 14% superannuation
  • Enjoy a great work-life balance in a supportive and family friendly environment
  • Work a 35-hour week with options for flexible/hybrid work arrangements
  • Take an extra day off every 4 weeks with our RDO option
  • Enjoy the flexibility to take on paid overtime if you’re interested
  • Benefit from organisation-wide bonus opportunities
  • Access generous EA benefits and leave options, including additional personal leave, study leave and up to 18 weeks of paid parental leave for eligible employees
  • Take advantage of ongoing training, leadership programs, study assistance and secondment opportunities
  • Utilise our Employee Assistance Program for personal and professional support
  • Enjoy working close to home on the beautiful Central Coast NSW
  • Benefit from study, fitness, employee discounts and novated lease programs
