We are seeking self-motivated, goal-oriented, and safety-focused individuals to join our Underground Service Crew and Pastefill Service Crew at our Newmont DBS operation. These positions play a critical role in maintaining the essential services that support one of Australia’s remote gold mines.

Underground Service Crew
You’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of key underground services including:
- Air and water services
- Pump lines and mono stations
- Ventilation and fans
- Submersible pumps and trailing cables
- Cable bolt plate installation and tensioning
- Operate and maintain Integrated Tool Carriers (ITs), light vehicles, and hand tools
- Perform daily inspections and maintain work areas to a high standard
- Support other departments (Charge Up, Projects, Pastefill) as required
- Mentor new personnel and ensure compliance with safety policies
You will play a vital part in supporting pastefill operations by:
- Conducting line checks and inspecting paste reticulation systems
- Installing and maintaining paste piping and bulkheads
- Supporting isolations, installation, and maintenance activities
- Completing general underground service tasks as needed
- Participating in operator training and maintaining compliance with all site protocols
We’re looking for candidates who bring:
- Previous underground mining experience, preferably in Service or Pastefill roles
- Experience with handheld drilling (Pastefill) and underground infrastructure installation
- Solid understanding of underground systems, troubleshooting, and equipment operation
- A safety-first attitude and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- Current RPLs for:
- Light Vehicles (LV)
- Integrated Tool Carriers (IT)
- Working at Heights
- Proven experience operating underground mobile equipment
- Willingness to adhere to site PPE requirements and all safety protocols
- Meet maskfit ready compliances

This role operates on a 2:2 FIFO roster, with direct flights available from Darwin, Alice Springs, Brisbane, or Perth. Accommodation is provided in our fully equipped village.
