About the Role:
As a key member of our Pavement Recyclers paving crew, you’ll operate specialised plant and equipment (Wirtgen W380, Paver, Rollers) to deliver high-quality pavement works
Duties
- Operate specialised road construction machinery
- Perform daily pre-start inspections and basic maintenance of machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Monitor and adjust machinery settings to meet job specifications and quality requirements
- Assist with manual labour tasks
- Collaborate closely with site supervisors, engineers and crew members to deliver projects safely and efficiently
- Travel to project sites including regional and remote locations and work varying hours based on project requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and represent SPA with professionalism on all job sites
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about the industry and keen to develop their skills in pavement recycling. The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience working on an asphalt crew
Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
HC licence would be ideal
A strong commitment to safety and best practices.
A willingness to travel and work on various projects across Australia.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A proactive attitude and excellent communication skills

Skills & Experience:
Have a focus on maintaining a safe and productive work environment
Be able to demonstrate suitable experience in plant operation
Be prepared to travel throughout NSW & QLD
An HR or HC Licence is desirable
Experience on a variety of road construction plant and civil construction will be a distinct advantage
