The Role
Here at EBOS Group we have a fantastic opportunity for an experinece and highly organised Payroll Officer with strong attention to detail and a desire to grow their payroll skills and knowledge to join our highly engaged and supportive HR team.
Reporting to the Payroll Operations Manager you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end (E2E) Australia and New Zealand payroll administration including onboarding and offboarding of employees as well as delivering accurate and timely pay runs.
You will also be required to work collaboratively with our payroll team and cross functionally to proactively support our managers and leaders with addressing all pay-related queries. As such your strong interpersonal skills, ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality, prioritise work, meet deadlines and work accurately under conflicting time pressures, will be critical to success.
This is an exciting role where you will have the opportunity to get involved in continuous improvement activities and support with building and maintaining comprehensive documents for payroll processes as well as apply your existing skills within a great business.
Must be able to do 7.30am starts bi-weekly to accommodate New Zealand timing.
What you will do:
- Deliver day to day timely E2E payroll services across several pay periods and cycles in line with enterprise agreements, policies, statutory requirements, and service level agreements;
- Collect, calculate, and enter data to maintain and update payroll information;
- Assist employees with payroll queries, month-end reporting and develop financial and operational reporting as required;
- Action and resolve errors relating to reconciliation and reporting of employee wage and salary payments to the ATO/IRD and internal Finance team;
- Liaise with auditors and ensure delivery of internal and external audit requirements;
- Pay data reconciliations to ensure compliance;
- Assist with Payroll testing and other Payroll duties as required.
What we are looking for:
- 3 + years’ experience working in a similar role within a fast paced and busy payroll environment;
- Strong knowledge and confidence with E2E payroll and AU and New Zealand employment legislation.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook);
- Experience with SAP Success Factors and ECP preferred but not essential.
