Payroll Officer
Melbourne Grammar School are seeking a diligent and collaborative professional with a commitment to the provision of high quality and proactive payroll services.
Based at our South Yarra campus, the Payroll Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting key payroll functions, employee onboarding, and assisting with payroll transition projects. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders.
This is a full-time fixed term opportunity until November 29th.

Key Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and legislation.
Verify timesheets, leave records, and allowances to ensure payroll data integrity.
Support the Payroll Lead with monthly payroll runs, assisting with employee entitlements, deductions, and superannuation are processed correctly.
Monitor and manage the payroll mailbox, responding to employee queries and resolving issues promptly.
Facilitate the payroll component of the employee onboarding process, ensuring new hires are set up correctly in payroll systems.
Provide support during the transition from weekly to fortnightly payroll, ensuring a smooth process for employees and the payroll team.
About you
Previous Payroll experience, with exposure to HR.
Previous experience in payroll processing (weekly and monthly cycles preferred).
Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
While not essential, MicroPay experience would be highly desirable
