Job Summary
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be a key Payroll Officer in a medium-sized team responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payrolls for 5,000 staff on a fortnightly basis.
Your activities
- Full end-to-end payroll processing
- Assist with interpreting and implementing required changes
- Support system implementations and updates
- Contribute to the development and documentation of robust payroll systems and processes
- Handle payroll filing and archiving
- Address payroll queries efficiently
- Prepare payroll for fortnightly pay runs
- Respond to payroll queries promptly
- Process Workers' Compensation claims and payments
- Manage the processing of monthly journals as needed
- Perform Payroll General Ledger reconciliations
- Undertake other duties as requested
Your profile
- Payroll experience is absolutely essential, with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
- A team player who can be productive with minimal supervision.
- Ensure business communication is handled appropriately.
- Stakeholder-focused, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Attention to detail is crucial.
- Ability to interpret employment agreements is a must.
- Complete required tasks accurately and promptly.
- Basic accounting knowledge is essential.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required for reporting.
