Ready to take the lead in payroll excellence? We’re seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Bankstown team, playing a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll services for our growing workforce.

In this role, you’ll manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensure compliance with legislation and company policies, and support employees with payroll-related enquiries. If you’re detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to take the next step in your payroll career, we would love to hear from you!

Payroll

  • Collect all necessary data and documents to adequately and correctly process payroll (end to end process)
  • Ensure data entry is accurate and timely into the payroll system
  • Implement rigorous payroll checks and controls and ensure that audit occurs on a regular basis
  • Calculate and process all roster variations, terminations, other salary related changes and payroll adjustments in a timely manner
  • Interpret Awards to ensure accuracy of pay processes
  • Proactively respond to employees and managers for all pay related enquiries
  • Maintain employee files in line with the Privacy Act
  • Prepare data and analysis of data to allow people managers to make timely and informed decisions regarding their people
  • Ensure Quickstep is compliant with all employment law, taxation and superannuation requirements from a payroll perspective
  • Provide data to Finance to enable them to lodge payroll tax on a regular basis
  • Identify and escalate risk as required
  • Work in collaboration with the HR and payroll teams and support additional reporting, tasks or projects as requested.

Process Improvement


  • Review and streamline all payroll processes
  • Introduce automation within the function

All other duties and responsibilities as appropriate


What we are looking for:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Highly motivated and high attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements
  • Process Improvement experience with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Prior experience using ADP (highly regarded)
