Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking an experienced Planner / Scheduler to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Brisbane. Hatch’s project delivery teams help clients reach their business goals through a range of strong technical capabilities and solution-focused leadership. We ensure world-class project delivery through the skills of our people, methodologies, governance, and systems. Our engineering, project management and construction disciplines drive for safe, efficient, and sustainable delivery of projects across our global metals and mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors.
We support our clients through their entire project lifecycle. From identification of potential business opportunities; through front-end evaluation and definition studies into project execution and commissioning; and increasingly into their ongoing operations by supporting business efficiency improvements and ultimate operations closure.

As the successful candidate, you will:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align timelines and resources.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis to stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and planning best practices.
Develop timely and efficient planning input and analysis for other project reporting tools such as Synchro 4D and Power BI reports.
You bring to the role:
Proven experience (+5 years) in engineering planning or project controls.
Strong knowledge of planning and project management methodologies.
Background in large, multi-disciplinary engineering projects where milestone and dependency management are critical.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Relevant qualifications in engineering, project management, or a related field
Strong personal computer skills including Primavera P6 and MS Office suite)
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey project information to project stakeholders
Organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, take direction, and provide direction to others to ensure the quality of deliverables
