What you’ll deliver with us
The EMR Platform Manager will be accountable for the Australia Post purpose-built Event Management Reimagined (EMR) platform operation and strategic vision, ensuring the platform is optimised and operational. This role oversees the strategic planning, implementation, and management of EMR. The manager ensures the platform's stability, scalability, and security while driving innovation and efficiency. This involves articulating the value of EM services and demonstrate clearly the different source of requirements (operations, security, compliance, features) and articulate criteria as inputs into architectural decisions. The EMR is an internally built JAVA based application running on GCP. 

Reporting directly into the Head of Technology Integration this role is responsible for the technology change and the run of EMR, supporting the organization, including business continuity, compliance, and security obligations. Planning and managing the duality of modern and heritage services in parallel to maintain business continuity over the period of a change agenda will be evidenced. Work as a customer advocate to enable innovation and accelerate delivery on a secure platform while reducing costs. This is a people management role leading multi-functional teams supporting a core purpose-built technology platform.

Accountable for managing and ensuring the continuous service improvement and operational efficiency of supply chain and/or third parties in delivering services specific to their platform / enabling service. This would include ensuring that the service is in line with the overall Technology strategy and that 3rd parties have been assessed and meet all minimum baseline security, compliance, legal and procurement requirements. The platform manager is responsible for capacity planning and software/hardware lifecycle management.

About You
We are looking for a strong leader who can articulate new ways of working and influence teams in adopting it. Internally you will be working with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Heads of Technology and GM’s and Technology Managers. Externally you’ll be engaging with vendors, partners, GCP (platform provider) which is why the ability to be a Trusted Technology Advisor to lines of business undertaking Transformation is critical.
