This is a full time 14 days on, 7 days - 11 hour per day roster.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, our Plumber will work as part of a larger trades team to perform preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment ensuring operational function and contributing to the smooth running of the village.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plumber to join our team in Weipa Town, Australia. As a key member of our maintenance staff, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties throughout the area.
- Install, repair, and maintain a wide range of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues efficiently and effectively
- Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on plumbing systems
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations
- Provide excellent customer service, explaining issues and solutions clearly to clients
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and materials used
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on multi-trade projects when necessary
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
- Manage inventory of tools and materials, ensuring adequate supplies for each job
- Stay updated on the latest plumbing technologies and techniques
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Plumbing (CPC32413) – Trade qualified Plumber
- Current Plumber's Licence issued by the relevant licensing board
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a qualified Plumber
- Proven experience in domestic maintenance and multi-trade projects
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems and domestic maintenance
- Excellent problem-solving and planning skills
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental practices
- C Class Manual Driver's Licence
- Current Police Clearance
- Knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations in Weipa Town, Australia
- Ability to work effectively in the climate conditions of Weipa Town
Desirable Qualifications:
- Plumbing Contractors Licence
- First Aid Certificate
- Hazardous Works Qualifications (Work at Heights, Elevated Work Platform, Confined Space, Hot Works)
