About the Centre

The Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre (HALC) is one of 4 facilities in Boroondara, and is owned by City of Boroondara and managed proudly by The Y. The facility contains a 750m2 Health Club, 3 program rooms, an outdoor 50m pool, indoor pool, café, sauna, and child care services. HALC is committed to fostering a welcoming and engaging environment for people of all backgrounds, We have an incredibly positive workforce culture, all working towards the common goal of helping our community.

About the Role

As a Lifeguard at the HALC, you’ll help provide a safe swimming environment for all centre visitors. You’ll be patient, focused and friendly to keep pool-users informed and safe. Duties of the role include:

This is a part-time position and the hourly rate is $25.80 + Super.

About You

We are seeking motivated, organised and pro-active Lifeguards to come and join the team. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and all facility users. Other required qualities are:

Essential Qualifications
