Maitland Christian School is in an exciting season of growth. With solid growth in the quality and reputation of the school in the local community, student numbers, organisational capacity and facilities are rapidly expanding. Maitland Christian School is seeking expressions of interest for the appointment of fulltime classroom teachers and either full-time or part-time specialist teachers for Primary in 2026.
Passionate and talented Christian educators are invited to apply. The successful applicants will be appointed to the staff of the school, commencing duties at the beginning of Term 1 2026. Leadership opportunities may be available for suitably experienced candidates.

Essential Criteria

- The ability to relate well to staff, students, parents and the broader community
- A commitment to work within a collaborative team environment
- The capacity to be part of the implementation of a Christian Studies program deepening students in their understanding of biblical and systematic theology
- A relational and empowering teacher, able to actively contribute to a team-growing culture of excellence
- Willingness to learn, grow and be coached in their understanding and delivery of quality Christian Education
- Well-developed communication, administration and interpersonal skills
- The capacity to further develop a transformational Christian Education integrated into thecurriculum and delivered with an increasing missional focus
- Experience in delivering quality teaching practices, particularly in Literacy and Numeracy, using an evidence-based quality teaching framework with explicit teaching foundations and data informed practice
- Excited about being instructionally coached to facilitate their growth in effecting improved student learning outcomes, both in their class and across the Primary School
- An understanding of the requirements of supporting students with learning diagnoses in a mainstream classroom environment.
- The ability to operate in a strengths-based framework and to develop staff and student culture around this framework
Selection Process
Following the closure of applications, the School's Selection Committee will consider applications and prepare a shortlist of candidates for interview.
The School may move more quickly to interview highly suitable applicants. It is expected that at least one round of interviews will be undertaken with the successful applicant appointed to the School, commencing duties at the beginning of Term One 2026.
Salary
Salary will align with NSW Christian Schools Teaching Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2020-2023 at the successful applicant's level of responsibility and experience.
