The Regional Health Division within the Ministry of Health is seeking expressions of interest from NSW Health staff for two Clerk 11/12 internal secondments.
Both secondments are for six (6) months with the option to extend. In order to be eligible to apply for these roles, you must be a permanent/ongoing employee or a temporary employee within NSW Health.
This is a secondment opportunity where you are required to have permission from your home agency to be released from your usual duties for the period.

- 1 x Principal Policy Officer within the Information and Performance Support team, Regional Health Division. (View the role description)

You will join the Regional Health Division which is responsible for providing advice to the Minister for Regional Health, Minister for Health and Secretary, NSW Health on matters concerning regional, rural and remote health. The Division will provide advocacy for issues across the regional health environment and identifies opportunities to enhance access to health and other social services that support quality health outcomes.
Crown Clerk 11/12, starting salary from $149,739 - $173,174 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.
What you'll be doing
- Lead and manage staff undertaking projects for the Ministry of Health addressing current and emerging regional health matters.
- Manage and oversee projects including developing project plans, evaluating outcomes, coordinating resources, monitoring progress and meeting reporting requirements and supporting project related activities to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, to high quality standards and within agreed scope.
- Support the delivery of timely and evidence-based advice to Directors and other executive stakeholders to support informed decision making and development of projects and strategies.
- Manage and develop project team members, including providing coaching and mentoring to achieve high levels of performance.
- Develop and maintain productive internal and external stakeholder relationships through effective communication, collaboration, consultation, negotiation and issues management to ensure project deliverables and strategic objectives are met and facilitate effective stakeholder engagement to empower co-designed solutions and initiatives to complex issues.
- Prepare high quality written reports, briefs, correspondence and cabinet documents that synthesise complex information or respond to government requests within short timeframes
